Spending a Peaceful Morning with Elephants in Mae Rim is the best thing you can do for yourself and family when you visit Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Why?
1. Cooler Mountain Air and Active Elephants
Mornings in the Mae Sa Valley bring cool mountain mist and mild temperatures. Elephants are most active during these early hours, making it the best time to watch them forage, socialise, and explore.
2. A Truly Hands-Off, Observation-Focused Visit
Unlike fast-paced tours, morning visits focus on gentle, unstructured routines. Guests observe elephants roaming freely, preparing nutritious food, or bathing in the stream without forced shows or riding schedules.
3. Fewer Crowds and Peaceful Surroundings
Visiting early avoids the busier afternoon crowds. The natural jungle surroundings—filled with bird calls and flowing water—create a calm environment ideal for photography and mindful travel storytelling.
4. Supporting Elderly Elephant Care
A morning visit offers insight into The Chang Chiang Mai, Maesa’s dedicated area for senior elephants. Readers learn about specialized diets, herbal supplement preparations, and veterinary care for retired working animals.
Animals are more than just creatures sharing our planet—they’re vital threads in the tapestry of life. From the majestic elephant roaming the savanna to the tiny bee pollinating our crops, every species plays a role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystems. Yet, countless animals face threats like habitat loss, poaching, and climate change. The concept of “Save Animals” isn’t just a slogan; it’s a movement to preserve biodiversity, protect ecosystems, and ensure a thriving planet for future generations. Here’s why saving animals matters and how we can all contribute.
The Ripple Effect of Animal Extinction When a species disappears, the impact reverberates far beyond its absence. Animals maintain ecosystems—think of wolves controlling deer populations to prevent overgrazing, or coral reefs supporting marine life. The World Wildlife Fund reports that global wildlife populations have declined by 68% since 1970 due to human activities like deforestation and illegal hunting. Losing animals disrupts food chains, reduces biodiversity, and destabilizes environments, affecting everything from agriculture to clean water availability. Saving animals means safeguarding the systems that sustain us all.
Humanity’s Role in the Crisis Our actions drive many of these threats. Urban expansion destroys habitats, forcing animals like orangutans and tigers into smaller, unsustainable territories. Poaching fuels the illegal trade of ivory, pelts, and exotic pets, pushing rhinos and pangolins toward extinction. Climate change, too, alters habitats—polar bears struggle as Arctic ice melts. But the same hands causing harm can also heal. By recognizing our role, we can shift from destruction to restoration.
How to Be Part of the Solution Saving animals starts with collective and individual action. Here are practical ways to get involved:
Support Conservation Efforts: Donate to or volunteer with organizations like the International Union for Conservation of Nature or local wildlife sanctuaries.
Reduce Your Footprint: Choose sustainable products—avoid palm oil linked to deforestation or fast fashion tied to habitat loss.
Advocate and Educate: Spread awareness on social media or join campaigns against illegal hunting. Knowledge is power—teach others why animals matter.
Adopt Compassionate Habits: Go plant-based one day a week to reduce demand for livestock farming, a major driver of deforestation. Even small choices, like using reusable bags, cut down on plastic pollution harming marine life.
A Future Worth Fighting For Saving animals isn’t just about protecting them—it’s about preserving the beauty, balance, and interconnectedness of our world. Imagine a future where children can still marvel at a lion’s roar or a whale’s breach. That future starts with us. Whether it’s signing a petition, supporting ethical brands, or simply picking up litter at a park, every action counts. Let’s commit to being stewards of this planet, ensuring animals thrive alongside us. Together, we can keep Earth’s heartbeat strong.
There is something magical about London when the sun is shining.
So, today I decided to take a long walk in central London to get away from everything. I do this often, giving some time to myself to think and organise my thoughts. I love observing people and definitely interact and learn things from them. London is a place where you can meet people from all over the world and draw inspiration from them. This is one of the main reasons I chose this city to live.
The weather was brilliant, the climate was warm and there wasn’t even a single drop of rain. Ahh… I smell summer. People were just happy, loud and all smiles laying on the grass with their friends without worries – or maybe they were just drunk but who cares 😉
This is life…enjoying the little things you can’t buy!

Today I woke up with a little bit of headache and I’m hanging like a bat from a tree! Yes you know what I’m talking about! I had quite few drinks more than I should but there is a good excuse for that!
Last night my friends and I went to the Law ball which their university organised for the end of final exams! I have never actually been to mine so I thought it would be a good idea to attend a ball and escape from London’s boring routine. In addition, one of my friends had her birthday the day before so we needed a proper night out to celebrate! 😉
For the occasion I decided to wear a black & white long jumpsuit from Miss Selfridge and black high heels from Zara! I chose a khaki Charles & Keith bag!
A getaway to Greece is always a good idea. Since prices are low after the crisis, then why not to visit it.
Top tourist destinations in the central of Athens are:
a) Kolonaki – you can find all sort of shops you want; where you can definitely do your shopping therapy in Ermou.
b) Sintagma square – where the Constitution of Greece is located there and is named after the first constitution adopted in the modern Greek State which is called “Sintagma”.
c) Monastiraki – lots of touristic shops and cafe restaurants; worth to visit 360 Coctailbar which is a rooftop bar and you will definitely enjoy the view of Athens in 360 degrees.
d) Thanasis and Dia Tauta restaurants – traditional kebab aka gyros and amazing sea food where you can enjoy live Greek music
e) Acropolis of Athens and the Parthenon – Parthenon was built in respect to the goddess of wisdom Athena, hence the name comes from the ancient word parthenon – the temple of virgin. Situated in Acropolis which is a hill chosen for purposes of defence in the past.
I hope I have helped with this blog post and please do not hesitate to ask me for further information.
P.S I have to say I feel so proud to call myself Greek, particularly for the ancient Greeks who played contributory role for the next generations and civilizations 🙂
I am so bored on the plane therefore I am using my time to write another blog post for my blog. It’s fun.Why not? 🥲
So, I visited Brussels, the capital of Europe. People would argue that it is not a very interesting city compared to other European cities such as Amsterdam and Paris. I slightly agree on that, however I wouldn’t underestimate this city as there are many hidden and local places to discover as tourist. I wasn’t fond of travelling over there from Cyprus until my mind changed when I tried a spectacular waffle with caramel syrup, nutella, biscuit and cream on the top – my goodness, what a balanced diet 😹🧇🥹🤰🏻
I dare to recommend that you need 2-3 full days i.e a weekend to wander around Belgium and visit the main touristic attractions which I will specify below for your convenience. Mainly these attractions are found in the city centre of Brussels which is:
1. Grant place
2. Saint-Michel Cathedral
3. Royal Museum of Fine Arts
4. Atomium
5. Mont des Arts
6. Chocolate museum
7. Parc du Cinquantenaire
I wanted to visit the Museum of Fine Arts but my legs couldn’t cope up with the pain of walking distance anymore, thus i slightly regret on that.
Let me know for any feedback for the museum if you had visited it- but do not provide me with much of details because I will regret it more 😂.
With respect to other cities I highly recommend to visit Bruges which is an hour away from the capital and spend the day there.. You will need to take the train which costs around 13-15 euros. There are many local shops, restaurants and bars worth of visiting. You could also take a boat and do a 45 mins river trip.
On your way back to Brussels , you could drop by to another city called Ghent City. It’s a small city and there is only one place that I liked basically called Graslei – a quay in the historic city centre.
For those who love medieval history I believe they will find it very interesting.
Overall, I had a great time as I spent it with my crazy brother and sister and eating waffles and chocolates all day! (Oh my days or perhaps should I say ohh my diet …….🙈).
